WEEK 7 BLOG (2/21 - 2/27)

This is the posting for the Week 7 Blog Assignment.  It should be about your reaction to the experiment done regarding witnessing someone drugging another person's drink.

(PART I due by 2/24  ;  PART II due by 2/27)

  1. I wasn't surprised to see that the reactions changed after the actress changed her outfit. Dressing in more provocative clothing definitely changes a persons opinion on a stranger. However, I still think it was wrong for them not to say anything. No matter how someone is dressed, it's not their fault that they are getting drugged. Not saying anything is leading them to be in a severe risk of getting raped or worse.

  2. I was surprised that not a whole lot of people helped or even said anything. The drugs he slipped her could have killed her or he could have been a murder. They did not know what was going on, but they still should have stepped up and said something. The people that did where great people.

  3. I wasnt suprised with the people not saying anything to the guy when the girl looked like shoe was a slut. people think that if u wear something bad then u r a bad person and she wasnt. poeple didnt know what to do which was talk to the guy.

  4. I wasn't surprised by the people's reactions at all. In all the other videos we have sen anytime a woman is dressed like that, they don't usually get any sympathy or help from others. I know I like to think I would have said something but I can't say uless I am in that position.

  5. I agree with Rob. People are people and I'm guilty of this too, but when we see the way a person is dressed we lable them by their choice of dress.

  6. I agree with Kim. People should havehelped her. But she is right, more provocative clothing will change a person's opinion about a stranger.

  7. I wasn't really that shocked when the people's reactions changed when the woman was wearing something different. I personally would have told the woman about the drugs in her drink in either outfit she had on. It also could've just depended on the personality of the different people. It doesn't matter what kind of outfit you are wearing, if something is going on that is wrong people should step in and help.

  8. I agree with robbie when he says that people sometimes think you are a bad person if you wear something a little provocotive. You would never know if she was a bad person unless you try and help. But obviously the guy was a bad person.

  9. I agree with Kim, no matter how people dress no one deserves to be drugged. It could just lead to a horrible accident that could have been avoided.

  10. i was really suprised that some people didnt even speak up and supported the fact that he was doing it. It in a way made me angry because if i was the girl and i was drugged i would be mad. I think scared that someone in the future would do that to me as well.

  11. i disagree with taylor about her reaction. I think that no matter how a girl is dressed you cant judge a book by its cover. What is she wasnt sure about wearing what she had on but she wanted to look good for the guy so she happened to go out on a limb.

  12. i agree with josh. he could have been putting any drug in there. People should have said somehting. Its scarey to know that some guys do that

  13. I was stunned at the lack of help the woman got when she was dressed a little more revealing. The man slipped 5 doses into her drink and the onlookers just watched, turned their heads, and said nothing.

  14. I agree with Josh. The man could have been a murderer or something just as bad and the people still refused to step out of their comfort zone and do something to possibly save her life.

  15. I agree with Kylie. Outside appearance shouldn't matter when someone's life could be at risk because people are too judgmental of looks and base their reasoning on them as well.

  16. I do not think it should matter how the woman is dressed. No man should get away with spiking a girls drink. It shouldn't matter even if she was wearing the sleeziest outfit possible. It was great to see the man and the woman stand up for the girl in a time she needed most.

  17. I agree with kim. Everyone judges someone else one time or another in their lives, but it should not keep them from standing up for them when they are being taken advantage of.

  18. Josh is right. We assume that the guy was going to take advantage of her and rape her. He could have kidnapped her or even killed her. If it were me, I would not want that on my conscience, so I wouldn't think twice about standing up for her.

  19. I didn't think that someone would drug someone's drink when they are so close to other people. That just didn't seem realistic to me. But, if I saw it happen I would definitely say something. It depends how scary the guy looks though. I would wait until the girl got back to say anything if they guys with her was scary looking. And, it doesn't matter what the girl looked like to me either. No one deserves have their drink drugged at all, especially on a date.

  20. I agree with Josh that the man could have been a murderer. That would have been extremely dangerous for the girl.

  21. I also agree with Kylie. It definitely shouldn't matter what the girl looks like. Everyone is equal.

  22. i was suprised to see how the results of the experiment changed when the clothing of the woman changed. I was suprised to see that less people said something to the woman who was dressed more provacitively. Someones attire shouldn't affect peoples opinion of someone enough to make them not tell them their drink was drugged.

  23. I agree with jack when he says that regardless of what a womans wearing she doesn't deserve to be drugged

  24. I agree with Taylor when she says that when something morally wrong is occuring people should do whatever they can to stop it

  25. I wasn't shocked when people acted differently when the actress changed her outfit. People were less willing to help the women when she was dressed in more provocative clothing. This shows how people simply judge each other by looks and outfits. The stranger should have helped the girl out because she was in danger. If i was in the situation, I would hope someone would help me. People need to look out for each other.

  26. I agree with Mason in people's attire shouldn't affect others opinions of them. The stranger should have helped the girl being drug regardless of how she looked.

  27. I disagree with Robert when he says people think you are bad when you wear bad clothes. Just because someone is wearing bad clothes doesn't mean others should allow bad things to happen to them.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I was suprised that people weren't more out spoken about what was going on. alot of people were trying tp be secretive about confronting the girl. If i were in the situation I would have been able to call the man out in front of the entire restraunt.

  29. I agree with jack when he says that the womans clothes shouldn't keep people from helping

  30. I disagree with Hannah when she says she didn't think someone would drug another persons drinks. There are alot of sick people in the world.

  31. I was a little surprised when not many people stepped up and said something. The guy drugging the girl could have been a murderer or he might have done something terrible to her. He clearly wasn't doing her a favor. But i wasn't surprised when no one said anything after the girl changed her clothes. She dressed how she wanted to be treated: not very well.

  32. I think what Nick is saying is correct. Those people should have said something, and I hope I would be able to stand up and call that guy out, too, but sometimes people just want to stay out of other people's business.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with Mason. As Christians, we are called to do God's will. Jesus would have stood up and protected the girl, so we should too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Even though the girl was dressed more provocatively, the people should have still stepped up and helped her. I was really glad to see the woman stand up and defend the girl. I wasn't surprised to see the people act differently when she was dressed in a different type of clothing, but it still would have been good to see more people try to help her.

  35. I agree with Chelsea when she said if she was in the situation, she would have hoped someone would have helped her. If I was in that situation, and no one helped me, I'd be really upset.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I agree with Mason when he says it doesn't matter what type of attire a person is wearing - no one deserves to have their drink drugged. It shouldn't matter what type of clothes the girl has. It isn't ok to just stand by and watch someone be drugged.

  37. Drugging some one's drink is drugging someone's drink no matter what the other person is wearing. She doesn't deserve it either. No one deserves to have their drink poisoned. I was surprised with how many people didn't say anything and I'm surprised at the girls that did say something, being so assertive. They both told their husbands to shutup. I thought it was interesting.

  38. I was not surprised by nobody caring when she changed what she was wearing because it kind of asked like she wanted it. Her dress was kind of sleazy so it kind of provoked the guy to drug her drink. It is still wrong but in the end i was just intrigued by the reactions.

  39. Jack's statement was very true because no matter how one dresses them self they should not be drugged into doing something they may not want to do.

    ReplyDelete
  40. With Robbie's statement if one dresses "bad" does not make them a bad person. Maybe they just want to try out a new outfit or have a fun night going out.

  41. i agree with what alex said when it kinda seemed like she wanted it to happen becaise of the way she dressed

  42. i agree with brad on drugging someone drink is just like drugging someone and that no one derserves to have their drink poisend

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree with Alex. Her provacitive clothing suggested that she was asking for it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with Brad when he said that drugging someone's drink is still drugging someone's drink no matter what they are wearing. no one deserves that.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I agree with Jack when he said that a woman's clothes don't make it right for you not to help them.

  46. I agree with Josh. They could have put any drug in there and her life could have been put at risk.

  47. I agree with brad no matter how the person looks if you look and see a person drugging someone else then you need to stop it

  48. I agree with nick the guy obviously didnt have any good intentions that is when he should be stopped
